On July 1, the retro Ikarus buses will make a comeback on the roads of the capital city! The iconic vehicles manufactured in Hungary are reappearing at a spot in the city where their presence was defining for a long time. This time, they will turn up in the Hűvösvölgy area and they will run on the R29, R57, R157, R257 and R56 lines during the day on Saturday, approximately between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Four buses will be in service during the retro weekend:
• BPO301 – with the Ikarus 260 silver arrow painting typical of the area in the past, serving the lines R57-157-257
• BPI415 – Ikarus 415 on the R29 line, which is the last Ikarus 415 in operational condition
• BPI829 – Ikarus 280 on the R56 line, which is the last Ikarus 280 in operational condition
• BPI923 – Ikarus 435 on the R56 line, which is the last Ikarus 435 in operational condition

Details on the transport services by the Ikarus retro buses will be available in the BudapestGO travel planner. At the beginning of September - according to our plans - the retro vehicles will appear in the area of the Lánchíd (Chain Bridge) in scheduled traffic.
