BKV held a wreath-laying and a memorial procession in Budapest on 16 December, paying tribute to the 90-year anniversary of trolleybus transport this year. The capital city’s first trolleybus service started in Óbuda on 16 December 1933. After the Second World War, trolleybus transport was relocated from Buda to Pest. The red trolleybuses are now an integral part of the image of the capital city.
