Holiday opening hours: the Buda Castle Funicular will be closed on December 24, 2025, and will operate with normal opening hours on other days. An exception to this is January 1, 2026, on which day the Funicular will open at 2:30 PM.

The last maintenance day of this year is December 29, when the Buda Castle Funicular will be closed.

Opening hours: 08:00 -22:00

Tickets are sold until 21:50 

It runs continuously in every 5-10 minutes according to the passenger demand.

The Funicular is closed on every Monday on odd weeks during the period of the maintenance works, unless these Mondays are on public holidays. In this case, maintenance work will be performed on the first working day after the bank holiday.
